As with many areas, there is no right or wrong way to plan a holiday to Argentina, however, the following itinerary takes in several of the main highlights and is a great base to start from:

Day 1: Arrive Buenos Aires
Arrive in Buenos Aires, Argentina’s capital, and known as “The Paris of South America” There is something for everyone to discover and enjoy in this unique city. With its wide boulevards, ornate architecture and love of statues, squares and gardens it is a delightful city for walking in and observing city life. From the old port to the chic boutiques of Calle Florida with its outdoor cafés, the city’s sophisticated lifestyle is famous throughout Latin America. We would recommend a city tour to take in the highlights of the city.
Buenos Aires 3 nights

Day 2: Full day Estancia
Enjoy a full day at a 19th century estancia. On arrival, you will be welcomed with delicious empanadas and Argentine wines. After a tour of the main house and surroundings, the typical asado (barbecue) will be served for lunch. During the day, relax in the extensive gardens, swim in the pool or go horse riding with one of the ranch owners. Afternoon tea with home-made pastries will be served before returning to Buenos Aires.

Day 3: Buenos Aires
At leisure to enjoy the shops and atmosphere of Buenos Aires or take an optional excursion such as a river cruise, helicopter flight over the city, football fans may enjoy a visit to the La Boca stadium or attend a match. For tango enthusiasts, enjoy a tango lesson before going to one of the many tango shows in the evening.

Day 4: Ushuaia
Fly to Ushuaia, the southernmost city of the world, the capital of Tierra del Fuego situated on the northern shore of the Beagle Channel and close to the legendary Cape Horn. The city is surrounded by the snow covered Cerro Martial and offers beautiful views of a unique landscape of mountains, sea and forest. In the afternoon take a sailing tour along the Beagle Channel with the opportunity to view the nests of a wide range of sea birds including petrels, albatrosses, cormorants and oyster catchers.
Ushuaia 2 nights

Day 5: Ushuaia
Today spend a day at leisure in Ushuaia or take a full day 4 x 4 tour to Escondido and Fagnano Lakes

Day 6: El Calafate
This morning you will take a half day tour of Lapataia National Park. Here you will have the opportunity to see the splendid scenery of the island with lakes, rivers, vegetation and peat bogs. In the afternoon fly to El Calafate, the main gateway for visitors to Los Glaciares National Park.
El Calafate 3 nights

Day 7: El Calafate
Full Day Tour to Perito Moreno Glacier: travel 80 km through the most beautiful landscapes to the remarkable Perito Moreno Glacier, one of the world’s few advancing glaciers. The visit includes a walk to the base of the glacier where you will hear the sound of the calving ice crashing into the lake waters below. During your trip you may spot condors, eagles and flamingos.

Day 8: El Calafate
Full day tour to Upsala & Onelli glaciers: Upsala is the the largest continental glacier in Patagonia and is only accessible by boat. Continue to Onelli Bay where, weather permitting we take an hour long walk through the virgin woods. Continue to Onelli Lake where the Onelli, Bolado and Agassiz glaciers meet. The lake is completely covered by blue icebergs.

Day 9 : Bariloche
Fly to Bariloche, known as the Switzerland of South America. It is situated in the heart of the Andes in the Patagonian Region of south western Argentina. Bariloche is the gateway to a marvellous group of lakes, woods, glaciers and snowy peaks. The town of Bariloche is situated on the largest lake of the Nahuel Huapi National Park which provides many outdoor recreational possibilities. Bariloche has a strong European style as most of the original settlers were of Swiss, German and Italian origin. Apart from tourism, one of its great industries is the production of chocolate. Duirng you stay include a half day tour of the area surrounding Bariloche.
Bariloche 2 nights

Day 11: Bariloche
Today you have a choice of either taking a full day tour to Victoria Island and Arrayanes Wood
or spend a full day at an Estancia where horse riding or trekking tours are offered.

Day 12: Buenos Aires
Fly back to Buenos Aires for your final night. Spend the evening enjoying a dinner and tango show.

Day 13: Depart Buenos Aires

or Optional Extension to Iguazu

Day 12: Iguazu Falls
On arrival in Buenos Aries from Bariloche connect with a flight to Iguazu. On arrival transfer to your hotel within the Iguazu National Park with rooms overlooking the Falls. In the afternoon take a private tour of the Argentine side of Falls with an English-speaking guide.

Day 13: Buenos Aires
Morning visit to Brazilian side of Falls (with optional Helicopter Flight over the Falls). Transfer to the airport on the Argentine side for your flight to Buenos Aires where you will spend your final evening

Day 14: Depart Buenos Aires
