For outdoors visit YosemiteNational Park, a wonderful wilderness of wildlife, flora and fauna, head to Lake Tahoe with an array of outdoor and water based activities, hiking and biking and Mammoth lakes for horse riding, fly fishing and the longest winter ski season inNorth America.

For wine and food, take a drive into the Napa Valley region with wineries and Michelin starred restaurants, or the larger Sonoma County with fresh produce and winery tours available.

For beaches you’ll want to visit Huntington, Newport and Laguna beaches in Orange County and Santa Monica with it’s 26 mile bike path.

For scenic drives, follow the old coastal road, the Cabrillo Highway, between San Francisco and Los Angeles.  Stop in the picturesque town of Carmelor the bustling town of Monterey, continue through the spectacular Big Sur and on to San Simeon, home of Hearst Castle, before Santa Barbara.  Head into the Shasta Cascade, and north coast region heading north of San Francisco for mountains, national forests and Lakes.

Now onto the cities – In San Francisco take a city tour, visit Alcatraz, spend time on a harbour boat cruise and take a trip to view the Redwoods at Muir Woods and the pretty town of Sausilito – Stay in fun Fisherman’s Wharf, or the shopping and commercial district of Union Square.  In Los Angeles, spend time on the beach, visit theme parks, Beverly Hills and Hollywood– in a city covering 467 square miles, there is something for everyone.
